MKGP Federation consists of a clinically led board with a streamlined management team. These individuals are responsible for engaging with practices, co-production of solutions, liaising with relevant third parties, securing the relevant funding and allocation, and managing the delivery of the contracts.
The Federation was initially financed through Membership investment and CCG funding, and will continue to exist through the securing of contract funding. Any surplus funds will be invested back into the GP practices for them to fund patient care initiatives, or use these for development work as agreed by the members.
The financial affairs of the federation are open and transparent and will be subject to scrutiny by both member practices and third-party commissioners.
The CEO and Business Manager is dedicated to exploring additional funding sources for many of the projects the practices want to develop. They will lead the way in establishing best practice, and helping practices make efficiency savings and improve care quality.
